A Beautifully hand-made Quality Antique Sterling Silver Ring depicting multicoloured flowers in Pietra Dura.
Dating from c. 1880, this eye-catching Ring is set with different coloured inset flowers, hand-carved from Agates.
There is Malachite, Jasper, Coral and Ivory.
Hand-carved with great skill and craftsmanship, the bouquets of flowers have been inset into black Slate which complements and highlights the colours.
Pietra Dura (literally ‘hard stone’) was a popular gift from Italy in the Victorian era, brought back by wealthy tourists who had done the arduous ‘Grand Tour’ of Italy in the mid to late 19^th Century.
Firmly set in Sterling Silver, the shoulders of the Ring are further embellished with appliqué work in the form of engraved flowers and leaves. The underside is solid and smooth for comfort when wearing.
In Excellent Condition.
The Ring size is M (UK) and 6 ¼  (USA), and it could be re-sized by any working Jeweller.
It measures 1 inch long by ½ inch wide.

This very beautiful MID-VICTORIAN  Pietra Dura brooch (also known as ‘Florentine’) is a perfect mosaic of  semi-precious stones. 
The leaves are Malachite and petals are Ivory, while the fruiting berries are Turquoises. 
They are set in a black Agate/Onyx. 
In a substantial gold frame, with a ring for a safety chain, it is in excellent condition throughout. 
It measures 40mm. x 34mm.

This Victorian bar brooch shows the best quality micro-mosaic work! 
In subtle colours, the tiny tessera are shaped as the leaves of flowers and set in a castellated mount.

A beautiful Victorian Antique Micromosaic Brooch!
This Exquisite Brooch features a centre of red and white flowers.
This is framed by white leaves in a fan, with a yellow border.
The white ‘fan’ leaves are repeated at the corners and compass points, with maroon borders. Sapphire blue and white tesserae form the section between.
This very interesting and colourful Brooch is in Excellent Condition – no tesserae are missing.
It has the original pin at the back, and measures just over 1 inch square.

A beautiful Bracelet formed from Mosaics!
This exquisite unusual Antique Mosaic Bracelet is formed from 5 sections. Each section features a Mosaic Work of Art of multicoloured flowers and leaves. Each is hand-made.
This is set in a silver filigree mount with a beautiful rope-twist edging.
The clasp is a strong, sprung, push fit.
It is all in excellent condition and measures nearly 8 inches.

A beautiful pair of Antique Micromosaic Earrings on a screw fitting!
The centre is a flower in red and pink.
This is framed in black, and around it, there are fans of white and black tesserae with red and blue borders.
The screw backs are in Excellent Condition, as are the Earrings as a whole – no missing tesserae.
They measure 18mm in diameter.

An Unusual and Attractive Micro-mosaic stick pin in the shape of a sword and scabbard! 
The handle and upper scabbard are set with micro-mosaic flowers – red, white and blue in the 3 outside circles; pink, white, blue and yellow on the handle, and multiple colours on the scabbard.
This is excellent and inventive workmanship.
The sheath can be removed to reveal the ‘sword’ pin, which has a safety chain for extra security. 
It measures 2 ¾ inches and is in Excellent Condition.
This could be worn by either sex.
On a lapel, it would be very interesting, and as a tie pin, also – quite Unique.

 

A Beautiful and Distinctive pair of Antique inlaid Floral Micro-Mosaic Earrings.
They date from the days of the ‘Grand Tour’ –mid 19^th Century.
The Inlay consists of pink, white, yellow and red flowers, framed with green leaves.
These have been cut into highly polished black glass, which is bevelled and set into a collar, with a rope twist edging. 
There is ornamentation at the top through which the long shepherd’s crook gold ear wire passes.
They hang almost 1 ½ inches from the top of the Gold ear wire, by 18mm. widest.
Good Quality Micro-Mosaic Jewellery like this is highly sought after by collectors.
They are in Excellent Condition, and they come in a Beautiful Quality, Gold-Tooled Leather Gift Box, too.

A Beautiful Antique Micromosaic Bracelet!
There are 10 round sections in this Lovely Bracelet.
Each section contains a central part with mosaics of orange and blue flowers with a sky blue background.
On either side of this, there are two more floral patterns in reds, white and black.
The floral patterns are highlighted by rope-twist appliqué work. Small circles of applied rope-twist line the outer edge of each section.
The clasp is a simple, but effective hook and eye.
It measures 7 inches long by 15 mm wide, and is in Excellent Condition.
It comes in a beautiful presentation box, too.
