Georgian Rings (1714-1830)

The Georgian period refers to the era during which the four King Georges ruled Great Britain between 1714 and 1830. As jewellery from this period is now roughly 200 years old, it is increasingly hard to come by, and as such these pieces are incredibly valuable, and are only likely to become more so as time goes by.

Georgian Rings

The Georgian period refers to the era during which the four King Georges ruled Great Britain between 1714 and 1830.

As jewellery from this period is now roughly 200 years old, it is increasingly hard to come by, and as such these pieces are incredibly valuable, and are only likely to become more so as time goes by.

Our range represents a wide range of styles which were popular throughout this long period, but some of the main themes which were prevalent were natural themes and intricate shapes.

In terms of stones, diamonds were by far the most popular option of the era, and the Georgian period really kicked off the trend of diamond rings which has endured to the present day.

Mourning rings also started to take off during this period, as people sought new ways to preserve memories of loved ones who had passed away.

These pieces usually have a small portrait or initials carved into them.

As mass production wasn’t yet available, all Georgian rings were handmade, so you can be assured that they are high-quality pieces, as well as being among the rarest that you’ll find.
