These gold gilt on silver moonstone & opal earrings are so attractive.The earrings are solid silver - stamped 925 - with a beautiful 18ct gold gilt.There is approx 7cts of moonstone in each earring making approx 14cts in total.The irridescent moonstone shimmers with a blue schiller. The moonstone is characterised by an enchanting play of light. Indeed it owes its name to that mysterious shimmer which always looks different when the stone is moved.There is a 0.75ct deep blue opal at the top of the moonstone set into the gold gilt - making 1.50cts in total.The opal is a dark blue colour with flashes of deep green, turquoise and red.The earrings have gold shepherd hook wires for pierced ears.The earrings are in very good condition and look fabulous when worn.The earrings weigh 5.6 grams.They measure 12mm across by 30mm down - that's 1/2 an inch by under 1 1/2 inches - excluding the wire which is another 10mm.Old Code 4331.
