This hand carved amber Basset Hound is fabulous. The carving is made of amber which is fossilised pine tree resin - just look at the pictures to see the wonderful pieces of Earth's history inside the carving! The carving beautifully depicts a Basset Hound with it's short stumpy legs, long ears and scent seeking nose.It is in very good condition, beautifully formed and a must for all you Basset Hound lovers out there.It weighs 3.7 grams.It measures 35mm across the side by 20mm down - that's 1 1/2 inches by under 1 inch.Old Code 1163.
