A gorgeous sterling silver Mother of Pearl, Garnet & Marcasite Brooch.This Silver Brooch boasts two large pieces of tear drop shaped Mother of pearl with a central deep wine coloured garnet encrusted with marcasites.The brooch is in the Art Deco style and is long and symmetrical - it really does look superb!The marcasites surround the stones and are encrusted into the design - they sparkle and glisten like Diamonds.Mother of Pearl is also known as 'Nacre' and it is a composite material produced by molluscs as their inner shell.This brooch is 925 sterling silver.It weighs 18.7 grams.In very good condition it looks fabulous when worn.The dimensions of the Brooch are 78mm across and 18mm down - that's approximately 3 inchesby approximately 3/4 of an inch.
