This gorgeous all silver Russian brooch and earring set is fabulous.The highly decorative hand painted flowers on pale blue enamel is typical of this stage in Russian history, when Russia had a monarchy - their jewellery was bright and colourful.The set consists of a pale blue enamel brooch on silver filigree with matching earrings.The earrings have shepherd hook fittings for pierced ears.The brooch and earrings boast superb workmanship - see the detail on the backs as well as the front!They are all in very good condition and look stunning when worn.The brooch weighs 9.9 grams and the earrings weigh 7.7 grams.The brooch measures 52mm across by 22mm down- that's just over 2 inches by just under 1 inch.The earrings measure 12mm across by 33mm down - that's 1/2 an inch by 1 1/4 inches - excluding the wires which measure 12mm.Old Code 1588-9.
