In the middle of the 19th Century all things Scottish enjoyed a level of incredible popularity in England. The romantic setting of lochs and mists blanketing mountains provided by the Highlands enthralled Victorian Society.This Brooch boasts a beautiful large Cairngorm surrounded by six smaller Cairngorms.Stones from Scotland - agates, citrines, cairgorms, amethyst and bloodstones - are made into jewellery to serve as a reminder of a favourite holiday or location.Scottish Agate jewellery is highly collectable and sought after worldwide.The pin and c-catch have been resoldered, this is minimal for such an old brooch. This weighs 17.4 grams. In very good condition it looks beautiful when worn.The Centre Cairngorm is 15mm across and down - thats approximately 2/3 of an inch. The dimensions of the Brooch are 48mm across and 45mm down - that's just under 2 inches across by approximately 1 3/4 inches down.Old Code E4727
