This fabulous Victorian French jet knotted necklace is Circa 1900.The necklace is 25 1/2 inches long.The gorgeous black jet beads are faceted and sparkle in the light.The beads which go all the way round the necklace graduating from smaller beads down to the larger beads in the centre.Jet is often associated with sombre occasions - Queen Victorian made it popular when she was in mourning for the loss of Prince Albert, but jet is also very elegant and versatile as jewellery.The fastening is a barrel fitting which screws together for added security.This necklace is in very good condition and looks fabulous when worn.It weighs 44.1 grams.It measures 25 1/2 inches.
