This brooch is fabulous.It is Circa 1880 making it from the Victorian era when brooches were extremely popular.The back is base metal - there has been some slight repair work done on the back but this does not take away the fact that it is a gorgeous brooch.The front is adorned with deep red wine garnets with a raspberry hue set in a large cluster.It is believed that Noah used a garnet to help guide him through the long dark nights during the epic floods.The brooch looks amazing when worn.It weighs 10.1 grams.It measures 38mm all round - that's 1 1/2 inches.Old Code 4482.
