These are Beautifully carved, Elegant Hand-Carved Victorian Quality Earrings in Whitby Jet, c. 1880.
They are made in two sections. The main section has been masterfully carved all the way round with various attractive designs, and includes a centre semi-spherical raised insert –also finely carved.
The upper section is also carved at the front, and is made up from a ‘horseshoe-and-pin’ design which is typical of the best Victorian Jet Earrings.
The Gold ear wires emerge from this, and they are long for extra security when wearing.
They hang over two inches from the top of the ear wire by 15mm across at the widest.
These Superb Quality Earrings are in Excellent Condition.Old Code 4134.
