This Victorian hand painted French limoges brooch is outstanding.The brooch comes from the Limoges region of France and is stamped "Limoges France" on the back.Thre brooch features a portrait of a lady with a colourful dress, scarf and headwear.The jewellery on the lady is embossed and can be felt when running a finger over it.The brooch is made of pinchbeck.The portrait hsa an ornately designed swirling edging in gold pinchbeck.This is a very decorative brooch in very good condition.It looks fabulous when worn.It weighs a substantial 27.2 grams.It measures 55mm all round - that's 2 inches.Old Code 2022.
