This fabulous Victorian Jet Cameo brooch is C1880.This jet cameo is a silouette of a beautiful lady with a leaf band going through her long flowing hair.This substantial brooch is the type of jewellery that Queen Victoria might have worn whilst in mourning for her beloved Prince Albert.The jet was considered elegant but serene and sombre enough to use as mourning jewellery.The brooch boasts superb workmanship and attention to detail.It is in very good condition and looks fabulous when worn.It weighs an amazing 24.1 grams.It measures 45mm by 54mm - that's 1 3/4 inches by 2 inches.Old Code 4262.
