This necklace is outstanding!It is from the Victorian era - Circa 1900.The necklace is gold gilt on silver and looks amazing.The necklace is made up of 28 individual flower and cluster arrangements linked together.Each individual link has at least one ruby in the centre; others have three rubies.There are also three flower shapes with a water sapphire in the centre surrounded by rubies.There is approx 7cts of rubies and approx 1ct of water sapphires in this necklace.The rubies are a rich, deep pink and the water sapphires sparkle like diamonds - the blend of the two stones works really well.The necklace is in very good condition and looks spectacular when worn.The necklace boasts superb workmanship and design.It weighs an amazing 43.8 grams.It is 15 1/2 inches long - that's 59.5cms - it is 20mm at it's widest.Old Code E4626.
