These are Intriguing and Alluring Earrings composed of Golden Scarab Beetles.
Each Beetle is perfectly formed and engraved, in a walking stance.
In 18 carat Gold on Silver, they are on a cartouche base with hieroglyphs on the underside.
The Scarab Beetle was treated as sacred by the Ancient Egyptians, and considered the embodiment of the God Khepri.
This God was associated with birth, renewal and resurrection, and as one of the sun gods, represents the dawning of the sun.
The Beetles hang from shepherd’s crook wires, so that they move with allure.  The hooks are decorated with a fan or sheaf of wheat and are long for extra Security when wearing.

Each Earring has an inlaid flower.

They are made in two sections. 
The upper section has a Moonstone in the centre which is surrounded by four oval, faceted Quality Amethysts. 
The Beautiful, iridescent Moonstone is around ½ carat and the Amethysts approx. 1¾ carats each. 
The dropper is a Moonstone and Amethyst together.
Total approx. 2 carats Moonstone and 14 carats of Amethysts.
