The Magnificent Wings are made from Smooth, Polished Black Onyx with 12 cabochon Onyx stones set around the edges. 
The eyes are Marcasites.  The body, lower wings and wing frames are studded with hundreds of graduated scintillating Marcasites.  
Each Marcasite stone is rose-cut and has been carefully faceted to sparkle.
Set in Sterling Silver, this Stunning Brooch measures 3 inches across by 2 ¾  inches down – a beautiful Work of Art displaying a Shimmering Galaxy Of Sparkling, Twinkling Light.

A Distinctive and Beautiful Antique Georgian Silver Brooch, featuring rare red cherry Amber.
The Amber, baroque and egg-shaped, is a deep rich red cherry wine colour, measuring 17mm. by 10mm.
(Amber is the resin from Pine trees that existed 60 million years ago. It is also believed to have Healing properties).
It is firmly fixed to the centre of a rectangular Sterling Silver frame, convex, and consisting of dozens of graduated hammered spheres.
All Original, as is the ‘c’ clasp and pin at the rear.

A Beautiful Scottish Cairngorm Brooch, in the shape of a shield.
This is a very Impressive and attractive Old Scottish Brooch.
The centre is a Magnificent oval faceted Citrine of over 7 ½ carats.
On either side are two curved sections of bevelled Malachite.
At the top and bottom are two hemispheres of Jasper.
All this is set in an engraved, sturdy Sterling Silver in a most attractive Heraldic shape.

A Delightful and Beautiful Butterfly Brooch set with Black Onyx and Marcasites.
The Butterfly is in the shape of the Rare Swallowtail, and the wings are set with Jet Black, smooth Onyx.
They are edged with sparkling rose-cut Marcasites.
(Marcasites are known as “Black Diamonds” because they look very similar to Antique rose-cut Diamonds. They are formed from Hematite – an iridescent black-grey stone found in the mountains of the English Lake District. Large crystals have so much lustre that they used to be used as mirrors!)
The pin at the back has a safety catch.

A Very Attractive late Georgian/early Victorian Silver Brooch featuring two Love-Birds and a Heart Pendant. This is a fine example of ‘Love Jewellery’.
The two Love Birds are in flight and looking at each other.
Their eyes are red-pink cabochon Rubies.
There is a six-petalled flower between the birds, and there is a ring around the neck of each bird.

The rings are attached to each other by a chain, from which a pendant heart hangs. The heart also has a five petalled flower embossed on it.
The whole Brooch is beautifully embossed and textured.
The pin and safety clasp are original and all is in Excellent Condition.
It measures over 1 ½ inches across, and is 1 ½ inches down including the dangling heart.

At the centre, the clear Quality Citrine is oval and faceted and approx. ¾ carat. It is raised and set in a collar, and surrounded by 10 sparkling rose-cut Marcasites.
The stones are mounted in a stylish tapered silver bar, and with a pin with safety catch.
It is 1 ¾ inches long, and in Excellent Condition.

A Beautiful Hand-Painted Limoges Brooch, framed by Marcasites in Antique Sterling Silver.
The Painting is of a young woman and suitor in Victorian dress in a large garden. This is hand-painted on Porcelain.
It is framed by a Gothic pattern which is studded with rose-cut Marcasites.
At the rear, the Porcelain is stamped ‘Limoges Made in France’ and the frame is stamped ‘Silver’. 
It has the original pin with safety catch.
There is also a ring at the back for a safety chain or for a jump ring as a Pendant and Brooch.
